Fluffing wool, stitching and embroidery experience
Mrs. Fawzeih will welcome guests to her outdoor garden with a cup of freshly brewed cup of Arabic coffee as they prepare for the day’s activities. Sharing her stories of sheep, lamb and goat heards and the wool they produce, she will share the process of sheering wool, fluffing it using walking canes, and then using it as stuffing for pillows, mattresses. Lastly, guests will learn how to turn fluffed wool into yarn that can be used to make floor runners.
Guests will also learn the art of stitching…using a needle and thread with traditional stiches on a framed cloth that they can take home with them as reminder of their time in Karak. The experience ends with viewing traditional dresses, learning about its story: stitches, colors and occasion for wearing it. Guests will be able to try on these traditional dresses with photo opportunities. Freshly brewed tea is served and a meal is also an option.
