The Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) participated in the second meeting organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in cooperation with the Income and Sales Tax Department, to follow up on the implementation of the Electronic Invoicing System in the tourism sector.

The meeting was attended by Her Excellency, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Mrs. Lina Annab. JITOA was represented by Ms. Ghada Al-Najjar, Chairwoman of the Board, and Ms. Lama Mahadeen, Executive Director.

JITOA used this opportunity to convey the feedback and suggestions of the inbound tourism sector, especially regarding the practical challenges faced by businesses in the sector, particularly small enterprises and local communities, when applying the new system and documenting expenses related to indirect tourism activities.

The Association stressed the need for flexible and practical solutions that reflect the nature of the sector’s work and help reduce procedural burdens. This would support compliance with the system and empower the sector to effectively integrate into the digital ecosystem, ultimately enhancing transparency and promoting the sustainability and growth of the tourism industry in the Kingdom.
