JITOA Holds Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting to Amend Bylaws and Strengthen Industry Integration

Amman, May 3, 2026 – The Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) held its Extraordinary General Assembly meeting on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Amman Chamber of Commerce headquarters. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nabih Riyal, Chairman of the Board, in the presence of board members, a large number of General Assembly members, the association’s legal counsel, and a representative from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Bahjat Hamdan, Vice Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, who spoke on the avenues of joint support and cooperation between the Chamber and JITOA. He emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships among various stakeholders within the tourism sector to serve the national economy and the Jordanian tourism industry.

A key highlight of the meeting was the official approval of amendments to the Association’s Bylaws. In a strategic step toward enhancing integration across the industry, the amendments now allow hotels to join JITOA as active members and hold positions on the Board of Directors.

During the session, members discussed several initiatives aimed at advancing the inbound tourism sector and bolstering Jordan’s position as a premier global destination. Furthermore, the meeting reviewed a series of partnerships and agreements recently established with Royal Jordanian and other relevant institutions. these collaborations are expected to play a vital role in supporting the sector and stimulating tourism growth in the coming period.
