JITOA and Royal Jordanian Sign MoU to Boost Inbound Tourism Marketing
Published : 16-04-2026
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on April 16th at the Royal Jordanian (RJ) headquarters with the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA). The agreement aims to strengthen joint cooperation and enhance the marketing of inbound tourism to the Kingdom.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer of Royal Jordanian, and Mr. Nabih Riyal, Chairman of JITOA, in the presence of representatives from both organizations. This partnership aligns with the national carrier’s new strategy to support and revitalize inbound tourism.
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration that benefits JITOA members through marketing campaigns supported by Royal Jordanian. This includes organizing joint roadshows in both traditional and emerging markets, as well as leveraging databases to target key markets and enhance the competitiveness of the Jordanian tourism product.
Furthermore, the cooperation extends to organizing training courses and periodic meetings between members to stay updated on tourism market trends. This move is particularly significant given the current decline in tourism demand, as both parties seek to unify efforts and reinforce Jordan’s position as a premier travel destination.
