Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ms. Lina Annab, convened a high-level meeting at the Ministry, bringing together representatives from the tourism sector and key stakeholders to strengthen coordination in response to ongoing regional developments.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the establishment of a Crisis Management Committee of which the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) is a member. This committee is tasked with addressing the issues and feedback raised by JITOA members while facilitating and coordinating efforts across the tourism sector to ensure business continuity.
The committee includes representatives from across the tourism industry and highlights the Ministry’s firm commitment to supporting the sector, particularly in safeguarding the safety and well-being of tourists.
Minister Annab reaffirmed that, despite the current regional context, Jordan continues to enjoy security and stability, maintaining its reputation as a safe and welcoming destination for international visitors.
She also stressed the importance of robust collaboration between the public and private sectors and announced the creation of an operations center that will include representatives from all relevant entities. JITOA will play a key role in supporting the Ministry’s initiatives by monitoring developments and helping coordinate timely and effective responses.
