The "Jordanian-Russian Friendship Committee" in the Senate Meets with Tourism Agents in the Russian Market
During October, the Jordanian-Russian Friendship Committee in the Senate, headed by Senator Sharhabil Madi, convened a meeting with Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, and several tourism agents and tour operators active in the Russian market. Executive Director Ms. Lama Mahadeen represented the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA).
The meeting discussed ways to enhance tourism cooperation between Jordan and Russia, particularly following the mutual visa exemption between the two countries. Discussions focused on boosting Russian tourist arrivals to the Kingdom, promoting Jordan’s diverse tourism offerings, and exploring opportunities to strengthen air connectivity between Amman and key Russian cities.
Participants emphasized the importance of continued coordination between official bodies and the private sector to advance tourism promotion efforts, improve infrastructure, and enhance the overall visitor experience — paving the way for stronger tourism and economic ties between the two friendly nations.
