In collaboration with the Salt Development Corporation (SDC), JITOA successfully held an insightful webinar on Sunday, November 23, featuring Mr. Khaldoun Khraisat, Director of SDC (مؤسسة إعمار السلط). The session highlighted one of Jordan’s leading examples of heritage preservation and community-focused tourism development.

Mr. Khraisat presented a comprehensive overview of SDC’s pivotal role in preserving Salt’s architectural and historical identity, its contribution to the city’s recognition on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and its ongoing work in developing authentic tourism experiences that support the local community and generate sustainable income for residents.

The webinar provided JITOA members—particularly inbound tourism companies—with meaningful insights into how Salt’s heritage-based model can enrich their tourism offerings. Participants also had the opportunity to explore potential areas of collaboration with SDC to further enhance community-based tourism products.
